Using a dynamic content

With Incontrol, the user can add data to a form dynamically. This is useful when multiple components need to be inspected with the same set of questions during an inspection or audit. By clicking the Plus button, the user can fill in the same set of questions again for a new component.

Explanation

You can find the Dynamic Content element under Container elements.

Label

For the label, if desired, a title can be given to the element. The title can be filled using aliases and/or calculations.

Number of items on creation

Here you can set how many items are created by default when starting a new concept. If you leave this blank, there will be no items on creation and the user will need to add the first item using the plus button.

Minimum number of items

Here you can specify the minimum number of items that must be present to complete the concept. If you leave this blank, there is no minimal requirement.

Maximal number of items

Here you can specify the maximum number of items that can be filled in, The user cannot add more than this number.

Content name

Here you can specify a text that will be displayed to the user on the plus button.

You can indicate how many items are ready for the user to full in when starting a new concept. You can automatically number the items in a dynamic content by using the automatic numbering function in concept settings.

Settings

Here you can specify an alias and set the formatting and visibility.

Use only for importing

With our latest update it is possible to use dynamic content only for importing. This is useful of you want to import data from another document a the dynamic content should be automatically filled. The blue borders around the dynamic content will then no longer be visible to the end user. From the settings you can enable this option under "Advanced" so that the dynamic content is only used for an import functionality.
