How Does the Date/Time Element Work?

The Date/Time element allows users to enter the date and time in the form.

Explanation

The date/time element is located under the input elements in the Form Builder.

Label

In the label field, you can, if desired, give a title to the element. This title can be filled in using aliases and/or calculations.

Text

Here you provide a text that can be edited. This can also be filled in using aliases and/or calculations.

Type

Specify in the type field whether you want the user to fill in the date, the time, or both.

Default value - Use the current time

By checking this option, the date and/or time will be automatically filled in when starting a draft. Note: the date and/or time is only retrieved when starting a new draft and not when completing the draft.

Required

If you check this, the user must fill in the element in order to complete the draft.

Settings

Here you can specify an alias and configure the appearance and visibility.

Import date/time value in form

When you want to import a date and/or time value via a connector and have it filled in automatically, the value must have the notation of the ISO 8601 standard.

To summarize:

  • YYYY-MM-DD
  • hh:mm
  • YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss
