Automatic numbering

With Incontrol, you can easily automate numbering data. This means that when inserting a new row, you no longer have to change all the numbers.

Explanation

Click on 'Draft settings' at the bottom left of the Form Builder. Add automatic numbering here by clicking on the '+ Add auto increment' button.

Alias

Here, you specify the unique alias for the automatic numbering.

Prefix

Optionally, specify a prefix that should precede your number. If you want a space between the prefix and the number, add it here as well.

Start value

The start value is set to 1 by default, but if you always want to start at a specific number for an inspection, you can change it here.

Minimum length

The minimum length is the display of the number. By default, this is set to 1 character. This means that numbers below 10 will be displayed as a single value. If you choose 2 characters, value 1 will be displayed as 01.

Suffix

Here, you can add a suffix just like with the prefix.

Adding automatic numbering to your form

In a section, you can display automatic numbering within static text at any time. To do this, use the specified alias of the respective automatic numbering. You specify an automatic numbering by putting the alias behind a $ sign. Every time Incontrol encounters this alias with a $ sign, it increments it by 1. This is based on the order in the document.
