Setting up a section

In Incontrol, you can easily navigate through the form using the menu bar on the left side. The different chapters of a form are called sections. In addition to these sections, the form may consist of a Title Page and a Table of Contents. You can hide the Title Page and Table of Contents in Document Settings.

Explanation

When starting a new form, a section is already created. This section doesn't have a name yet. Under the name of the form, you can specify a new name for your section under 'Section Name'.

Copying and pasting a section

You can copy a section by right-clicking on the icon (two documents) for copying. In the left menu, you can paste it using the 'Paste' button. The new section will be pasted below the other sections.

It is also possible to copy and paste a section using the right mouse button from the menu. If you paste a section in this way, it will be placed above the selected section.

Deleting a section

You can delete a section by clicking on the trash can icon next to the section name. You can also delete a section by right-clicking on the respective section in the menu bar and selecting delete.

Section settings

Use the gears on the right side of the section to open the settings.

Visibility

By default, a section is shown in both a draft and in the document. If you choose 'Hide in document', the user will see the section while filling out the draft, but the specified values will not be shown in the final document.

You can also let the user choose whether the section should be shown or not. 'Hidden (but can be made visible)' will not initially show the section. The user can then indicate whether it should be shown. 'Visible (but can be made hidden)' does the opposite.

Hide the section name from the document

Check this if you do not want the section name to appear as a title in the document.

Hide this section when there is no visible content

If no content is specified in the section that should be visible, the section will be hidden if this option is enabled.

Start this section on a new page

By default, a section will always end with a new page. This means that the next section starts on a new page. Check this option if the section should continue into the next section.

Moving a section

You can change the order of the sections by clicking on the arrows in the menu bar on the left that appear when you hover over the section with the mouse. You can also use the right mouse button to place a section at the top or bottom.

Adding a new section

Use the button in the menu bar to add a new section. This will then come below the current sections. You can also add a new section with the right mouse button in the menu. It will then appear above the selected section.
