Safari: Minimum Version Requirements

Safari typically receives regular updates for the browser. These updates often include security enhancements, ensuring you can work safely in this browser.

Updating Safari also impacts the applications we develop. After a few months, most of our users are on the most recent operating systems. This means our applications will need to comply with the latest changes, and as a result, we may not be able to support outdated operating systems indefinitely.

In practice, this means that we will not update the app to a newer version if your browser is not updated to the latest version. You may still be able to use the app, but this will be at your own risk. Additionally, we may decide to stop supporting the app, which means you would not be able to use the app on an outdated browser version.

Updating Safari

Apple has an article about how to best update Safari. You can read all about it through this article. The article explains how to check the current version and how to update the browser on your device.

Minimum Requirements

For Safari, we follow the rule of supporting up to three versions back for our platform in your browser. For example, if the current version of Safari is 16, we support versions 16, 15, and 14.

*Note: You are responsible for keeping Safari up to date on your device. If Safari is not updated to meet the minimum requirements, we are not liable for any issues in the application.

**Note: If you are using an outdated device, it is possible that Safari will no longer provide updates. This means your device will not be able to use the latest version of Safari, making it unsuitable for using Incontrol. In this case, it is best to consider using another device to continue using Incontrol.
