# How do I share a form?

## Use a form backup to share a form.

Sharing a form involves three steps:

1. **Create a backup**
   
     - Open the form in the form builder.
     - Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

     - Click the backup button to create a backup of the form.

     - Enter a password of your choice to protect the backup.
     - Click 'Create', and a backup file will be downloaded.
2. **Share the backup**
   
     - Share the backup file with the person you want to share the form with.
     - Don't forget to also share the password you chose.
3. **Restore the backup**
   
     - To restore a backup, you first need to create a form.
     - Start by creating an empty form.

     - Give the form a name and save it.
     - Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
     - Click 'Restore backup'.

1. - Select the backup file that was shared with you under 'Select the backup file'.

     - Under 'Type the password you used for the backup', type the password.
     - Click 'Restore' and save the form.

The form has now been successfully shared!
